Indie-Mobile is a midi file repository I was looking forward to dumping 90,000 new files into. Unfortunatly after doing an md5 sort based on the file contents it turns out there were only about 55,000 files. 35,000 were the same files, same name just a different directory in the zip. Then, upon removing all the kar and mmf files it was reduced to a measly 48,000 files. Of those there are still dupes that just have a different name.

Of those I’m sure a large portion have (c) or copyright in the file so they won’t be made available. But regardless. You’re not going to find a larger collection of midi files anywhere. The cool thing about Indie-Mobile is that all the text from the midi files is yanked out and stored in the database making it very easy to find what you’re looking for. Indie-Mobile also displays all that text when browsing so you can get a much better idea what a file actually is.
