For Sale

Indie-Store

The economy on ebay and all other like stores is driven by lunacy. As a result I have opened my own store to sell my used stuff through. Currently about 48 CDs are available for purchase. All products are used but in good condition. All the CDs have the original art and inserts. I’m not going to pretend that I’m competitive when it comes to pricing. All CDs are currently priced at a flat $10.00. This price includes shipping costs for customers in the continental United States. All others may incur additional shipping costs.

The reason for this pricing is simple: the goal is to make some money to cover various bills such as my education costs.

The reason I say that the economy on ebay et al is driven by lunacy is because people are selling the same CDs I’m selling for as little as 1 penny. Unless they stole those CDs, I’m pretty sure they paid a lot more than that for them. The reason they can sell them so cheaply is because other people (investors) are footing the bill. The idea is that they sell at a loss in order to gain loyal customers.

Unfortunatly, when it comes to the internet, loyalty is based on the price. People are not looking for a store, the are looking for a product, the cheapest product. And, because there is no shortage of silly investors, there will be no shortage of CDs selling for 1 penny. I’m not willing to give away stuff just to win customers. If people aren’t willing to pay money to shop at your store then giving away free stuff isn’t going to change that.

Giving away CDs for 1 penny will result in one thing: bankruptsy. And that’s exactly what happens. But another fool pops up and the cycle continues. So I’m not going to bother trying to compete. Even if you win a contest with idiots you lose. The only way to “beat” these fools is to lose more money than them. So I’m not going to compete.

I’m going to sell products at a reasonable price. In other words, I’m running an honest business. If you want to take advantage of the people selling products at a huge loss I’m not going to think any less of you; even if it were possible to even know your shopping habits. However, I’d really appreciate it if you’d hop on over to the store and check out what I’m selling.
